Eilene V. Frierson, M.S .
Ms. Frierson is a senior health care administrator with AMSI Consulting Associates. Throughout her career she has held progressively responsible management and consulting positions in major health care facilities and systems in the Washington, D.C., and New York City metropolitan areas. Ms. Frierson has performed many research, coordination, and logistical functions for Summit Health Coalition. She coordinated and implemented research and identification of relevant material for inclusion in The African American Health Advocates’ Resource Book, published by Summit Health Coalition, Medical Care Management Company, and the National Black Caucus of State Legislators. She coordinated logistical support for a conference on the Tobacco legislation for Summit Health Coalition and GlaxoWellcome Pharmaceutical in Washington, D.C. She has performed those same functions for Health Management Resources, Inc. and the American Cancer Society—National Government Relations Office, Washington, D.C.
Previous health administrative positions have included: Associate Executive Director of the District of Columbia General Hospital and Assistant Vice President for Administration of Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY. During an educational sabbatical, Ms. Frierson initiated empirical research and developed a needs assessment for creation of a pre-natal and post-natal program in Central and East Harlem, NY. She also facilitated community outreach and organizational networking to support the development of maternal child health needs. Ms. Frierson received a B.S. from Bethany College, Lindsborg, KS, and an M.S. in Administration and Human Services from Audrey Cohen College, New York, NY.
