Singleton B. McAllister, J.D.
Ms. McAllister practices law at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.
Her practice assists clients in navigating the laws and regulations governing diversity issues and provides legal counsel and crisis management. She collaborates with companies to develop comprehensive diversity action plans that address issues of concern to senior management. She advises CEOs, general counsels, and other senior executives when confronted with a diversity crisis or when attempting to avoid such actions.
Her practice also includes public law and policy. She focuses her global practice on international law and international transactional matters. Before joining Mintz Levin, Ms. McAllister was the national chair of the Corporate Diversity Counseling Group at Sonnenschien Nath and Rosenthal LLP, and general counsel of the U.S. Agency for International Development. She also held several senior policy and legal positions in the U.S. Congress, including service as senior counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on the Budget, chairman of the House Budget Committee and House Majority Whip, and as legislative assistant to the chairman of the House Small Business Committee. Ms. McAllister received her B.A. from the University of Maryland and her J.D. from Howard University School of Law.
